As part of the Oregon tour in support of Negative Press Project’s new release CYCLES I (out January 30, 2026), Andrew Lion’s līder|lāder comes to The Commonwealth Pub, Bend, OR, June 17, 2026, to celebrate the digital release of Lion’s collaboration with renowned trumpet player, Cuong Vu (Pat Metheny Group, David Bowie), in advance of the project’s full-length release later in 2026.

Just coming off of an Oregon tour in support of Negative Press Project’s new release CYCLES I (out January 30, 2026), we are proud to present a special single-night engagement in Bend, OR marking the live debut of bassist/composer Andrew Lion’s new project līder|lāder.

This performance brings together a rare constellation of collaborators from across the country: Ruthie Dineen (piano), Andrew Lion (bass), Luis Salcedo (guitar), Lyle Link (saxophones), Joel Behrman (trumpet), Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews (alto sax/synth), and Adam Carlson (drums), joined by very special guests – Dave Tweedie (drums), Malaika Anjelica (keys/synth) fka/aka Maxwell Friedman, and Seth Burrows (guitar) + plus, Maria Jackson (Vox) and Pete Kartsounes (vox).

The result is a unique ensemble drawn from Bend, San Francisco, San Jose, Brooklyn, Portland, and Los Angeles- a one-time configuration that promises driving jazz-adjacent compositions combined with genre bending electronic and indie/prog textures, with forward-looking improvisational exploration.

Limited Audiophile LP Vinyl and CD editions of līder|lāder will be available exclusively at this performance, ahead of the project’s general release later in 2026.
